'Meranti F# Didgeridoo'

Wood: Meranti

Overtone: G#
Mouthpiece: 30mm (internal)
Bell: 8.5x11.5cm (external)
Length: 132cm
Weight: 2kg

Description:  Unable to wait for wood to season I sourced some Meranti - a mahogony like timber - ensuring it was FSC (Forestry Stewardship Council) stamped. I was not however, able to secure a single piece of wood big enough, so I used two pieces of 6"x2". It worked out well as the grains of the two pieces are similar and at quick glance you may think it was one piece of wood, but closer inspection shows the wood to be two slightly different colours - very much dependant on light. Easy to play but you need to be precise with your embrouchure.
