'Celtic Band'
Description: 'Celtic Band' box didgeridoo - as I have stated elsewhere, I have a penchant for celtic knotwork. This example was burnt onto a box didge. What struck me was the contrast in the deep brown of the Meranti wood used in the middle, with the lighter coloured Birch faced plywood. In addition, the layers of plywood help to draw the eye along the length of the box didge.
By leaving the front and back faces clear of images, the band is pronounced. To compliment this box didge, I made a snug fitting black cloth bag, with celtic knotwork sewn into the front and along the shoulder length strap.
