'Celtic Circle'

Description:  'Celtic Circle' - I do like celtic knotwork and do like to use bold primary colours - though a tad muted here due to soaking into the wood and type of paint used. The paint is a combination of ink - the textured middle part of the knotwork and green centre, and acrylic - yellow knotwork and white highlights.

Knotwork is fascinating because it looks very aesthetic for starters, simple yet frustratingly complex (at least when trying to draw patterns!). This design was burnt onto a box didge I made. This example was burnt onto a box didgeridoo. I like the effect looking close up as well as far away, especially when played.
