'Masts'

Description:  'Masts' was painted at roughly the same time as 'crosses'. I was experimenting with paining with anything and everything but a brush- or at least the bristles of a brush. I was trying to find what mark made what shape and what group of marks created what effect.

The combination of vertical and off horizontal lines creates the effects of a number of ships in a harbour with their masts swaying in the wind.
